Accessibility statement

The target for this site is level AA of the WCAG 2.2 guidelines. This statement sets out what is already in place, what remains to be checked, and how to report an access problem.

Status

Measures already in place

Page structure

Hierarchical headings, navigation landmarks and a skip link to the main content at the top of each page.

Keyboard navigation

All interactive elements — menus, accordions, forms — can be used without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.

Contrast

A colour palette designed to meet AA minimum contrast ratios between text and background.

Forms

Labels explicitly linked to fields, required fields indicated by more than colour alone, status messages announced.

Motion

Animations are disabled when the visitor’s system signals a preference for reduced motion.

Images

Images have a text description; decorative visuals are hidden from assistive technologies.

Known limitations

What remains to be done

An accessibility statement that mentions no limitations is not credible. The following points have been identified and must be addressed before final launch.

To be confirmed

No full audit yet

No independent audit has been carried out yet. The stated level of compliance is therefore a target, not a verified result.

To be confirmed

Video subtitles

Video content will need subtitles; content published without them will state this limitation.

To be confirmed

Downloadable documents

Documents put online must be produced in an accessible format or come with an alternative version.

To be confirmed

Interactive map

The branch map must keep a fully text-based alternative — the list of districts serves this purpose.

Report an access problem

If you encounter an obstacle accessing content, report it through the contact form, stating the page concerned and the nature of the problem. A reply is given within an indicative period of [period to be set] working days, and the content is sent to you in an accessible form in the meantime.
